PROCLAMATION FROM CALIFORNIA PRESENTERS
Pursuant to the recent legislation passed in North Carolina and Mississippi, the Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) put forth an affirmation of its organizational values. We are proud to announce that California Presenters, at its annual meeting in Irvine earlier this month, passed, by unanimous proclamation, a reiteration of APAP’s statement, that is, ‘to affirm the enduring values that are at the core of our industry and our communities, as well as voice our support of our members in the field:’
"California Presenters supports the rights, integrity and dignity of all individuals who comprise our audiences, our staffs, and the artists and attractions that we represent and present on our stages across the world, regardless of one's age, ability, gender identity, national origin, political affiliation, race, religion, economic status and/or sexual orientation. We affirm the efforts of our members and colleagues in promoting these values on the ground in their communities.
As demonstrated by the unique talents, temperaments and convictions of those in our field, the values of both individuality and community in our society and culture make us stronger."
We are delighted to share with APAP, our state and local arts councils, the National Endowment for the Arts, Western Arts Alliance, legislators, et al. Please feel free to share. Proudly.
