DNACA books only five performances a year: the organization is an local arts agency and has many other programs in progress at any given time, in addition to a performance series. Out of the five performances, usually three are music, one is theater and one is dance. We present a wide variety of disciplines, with the exception of classical music, which is the purvey of another presenting organization in our small, rural community. (Del Norte County's total population is only 28,600 people).

We like to begin our season mid-October, and end it mid-April, whenever possible. We also book three blues artists for our annual Crescent City Bay Blues Festival, which normally occurs the first Saturday AFTER Memorial Day weekend. We begin negotiating contracts kind of late in the year--in February for the following season. The director has a major grant to write in the month of January; making January NOT a good time to contact her in person.
